In the “Verde” Hall, the official opening ceremony of the European Championship for female players under 17 years old was organized. The championship will take place in Podgorica over the next 10 days. Before the first match of our national team against Iceland, the opening ceremony of the European Championship for female players under 17 years old was held in the “Verde” Hall in Podgorica.

President of the Montenegrin Handball Federation, Petar Kapisoda, and representative of the European Handball Federation, Božidar Đurković, addressed the attendees. “The capital of our country is the host of this gathering of the 16 best selections on the continent, where the future stars of European handball will compete. With pride, we can say that the eyes of the European handball community will be on Montenegro and Podgorica these days. For the third consecutive year, we are hosting the European Championship in younger categories. In previous years, we proved to be good hosts and received recognition from the highest authorities of European and world handball. I am confident that the same impression will remain after ten days of the championship that started today. I wish all participants and officials a pleasant stay in Podgorica and Montenegro. As organizers, we will make sure you return home with the most beautiful memories, with the hope that you will come back again soon.
