Podgorica has been in the spirit of top-level sport these days.

We are proud to host the European Junior Judo Championships, taking place from 3 to 6 September at Verde Sports Hall and bringing together Europe’s best young judokas.

A special moment of pride came with Stevan Sadiku, who won the title of European Junior Champion in the -81 kg category in front of the home crowd, bringing Montenegro its first European junior judo gold medal in 11 years.

With the support and hospitality of @voco.Podgorica, we were once again part of a major international sporting event.

And the judo story at Verde continues — on 3 and 4 October, we will also host the Podgorica Junior European Cup 2026.
